Find out what happened inside the party after the stars came to celebrate the 50 Most Beautiful

The night was rainy in the city of New York, but the stars came safely to the party of the 50 Most Beautiful in the legendary Plaza Hotel in Manhattan. The first of all? None other than Carolina Herrera. With her elegance it was impossible not to recognize her!

And that was the first post of the night: everyone, absolutely everyone wanted to take pictures with the Venezuelan designer. The first to have that luxury was the winning girl of Nuestra Belleza Latina: Ana Patricia González, Alejandra Espinoza and Nastassja Bolívar. “I admire her a lot,” said Espinoza, “[she] treated us nicely. Even told us that she watch Nuestra Belleza Latina on Sunday, which to me was amazing. Wow to find myself that she’s here, I didn’t expected it”.

Chiquinquirá Delgado came with her boyfriend Jorge Ramos. Also, it did not stop Alejandro Chabán to asked Delgado a picture of his fellow Venezuelan. Although not to be left out, Alejandro Chabán asked Ramos to join them. You can imagine that Jorge Ramos was not alone of asking for a photo to Chiqui, but Jorge did not bother. “I’m used to it,” he said.

Another who came was is Sammy Sosa, who came to the party holding the hand of his wife Sonia Rodríguez. The couple soon find a sofa located next to one of the bars and settled there almost all night. Charytín Goyco came with her daughter to greet the former baseball player, which is very popular among the stars.

And the most popular stars of the night? Of course, Thalía and Ricky Martin! The Puerto Rican singer could not stay for long because of work commitments. To compensate, Thalía was super playful. Upon arrival, and as a joke, she touched the pomps to the stylist Irma Martínez, who had her back on it and had tremendous shock. The Mexican singer also shared with Lili Estefan and walked around the party with our editor Armando Correa.

Sie7e arrived with his wife Jessica and confessed it was his first time in New York. He came with the desire to be with with Ricky Martin, which could not be. However, Sie7e already planned to go see Evita on Broadway, there may have better luck!

Meanwhile, the most anticipated celebrity at the Tuesday evening event, Ricky Martin, who made the elite list again this year and opted for an elegant black and white outfit, granted no interviews to the media, although he posed for photos with a big smile.

According to his publicist, Rondine Alcala, the artist has two numbers on Wednesday in the musical Evita, in which he is starring along with Argentina’s Elena Rogers and American Michael Cerveris, and he preferred to rest his voice.

The 50 Most Beautiful and other invited guests arrived at the venue amid the shouts and cheers of fans who every year gather starting early in the day to see their idols grace the red carpet.

This year, the 16th such event, the first to move across the red carpet, was Venezuelan actor Alejandro Chaban, who did not hide his happiness.

“I’m so happy that I want to send the photo to everyone who called me fat,” the actor said.

Spain was represented by Javier “Poty” Castillo, who is in charge of the choreography for Univision’s program ¡Mira Quien Baila! who said that he was not vain “at all” and that when he heard he had been selected for this year’s prestigious list “I stayed normal because I imagine that it’s not a question of beauty alone, but that there’s another evaluation, which is more fulfilling to me.”

The list also includes Spaniards Penelope Cruz and young singer Pablo Alboran, who did not attend the gala.

For four years, executives of People en Español magazine tried to convince Thalía to go on the cover of the magazine which lists Los 50 más bellos and predominantly Mexican.

However, the singer gave way, after the photo shoot involved Ricky Martin.

Thalía’s argument for not coming out is that she didn’t want to do spread covers, but decided to do it because of Ricky Martin, a worldwide star.

And Thalía who tops the list of most beautiful Hispanic Americans, according to People en Español magazine followed by other Latin celebrities like Ricky Martin, Jennifer López, Sofía Vergara, Génesis Rodríguez, Alicia Machado y William Levy, Ana Brenda and Angélica Vale.

It’s the ninth time that Thalía is included on the list, but it is the first time that she leads the cover [with other celebrities] (she graced the 2003 cover of the last year when the list was still called as Las 25 Bellezas Latinas).

She revealed that in the photo shoot that she was sad because Mother’s Day is approaching and it will be the first time without her mother, after she died last year.

The journalist said that according to a source, the singer still stays on thanks to her two children Matthew and Sabrina.

Interviewed during the photo shoot for the cover by Lourdes Stephen of Sal y Pimienta, Thalía wears the beauty of being a mom and cheerfully talk about her children.

- How is your Matthew?
“Look at this arm, is the arm of Matthew Alejandro. It’s a tractor and I’m in love with him. Sabrina drives me crazy and I want more, more, I want to have children again.”

- What would you tell to these mothers who are watching their children, this coming Mother’s Day?
“I think the only life saver I’ll have for this coming Mother’s Day is to celebrate me as a mom with my children and focus on that side. And to say to all to enjoy their mommies no matter if they are nagging, if they are judgmental, if they are of strong character, enjoy and love her and tell her how much you want them. We never know when they will go and that every day is a Mother’s Day.”
