OV7, Jesse & Joy y Pandora will also participate; reserve places of honer to María Antonieta de las Nieves and Carlos Villagrán.

Thalía and Juan Gabriel will sing songs for Roberto Gómez Bolaños, on February 29 in América celebra a Chespirito, a tribute that will be given to him in celebration of his 40-year career.

Thalía will sing Gracias Chespirito composed by the Peruvian Gian Marco, and Juan Gabriel will sing a tune in his repertoire, whose title has not yet revealed to the production of the festivity.

Diego Verdaguer, OV7, Ha*Ash, Reik, Pequeños Gigantes, Pandora and Gian Marco will also sing Nunca vamos a olvidarte, and next to Playa Limbo, Belanova, Mane de la Parra, Paquita la del Barrio, Jesse & Joy, Margarita, “La Diosa de la Cumbia”; Alexander Acha and Jorge “Coque” Muñiz to delight with Viva el amor.

The lyrics of the latter will be revealed to the public in few hours, so that on the day of tribute everyone will know and sing it.

Marco Antonio Regil and the Mexican Ximena Navarrete, Miss Universe 2010, will lead the ceremony at the Auditorio Nacional, while actress and singer Thalía will also be the spokesperson for all countries.

“She will accompany Chespirito instead, on stage, so that along with his family will receives the guest stars which will reveal the surprises. We want him to feel comfortable on that day and enjoys the affection that is going to be given to him.”

“There will be more, but they are reserved to happen on that day, since he’s a great ‘Twitterer’ we do not want him to found out before the event,” said Ruben Galindo, one of the producers of the meeting during a chat with 15 representatives of the mass media and via the Internet with the journalists from Puerto Rico, Honduras, Bolivia and Peru.

The producer Roberto Gómez Fernández,, son of “Chespirito” said the artist “has little idea what will happen in his honor and is very nervous. Paradoxically, but gives him terror, because he does not like tributes. Knowing that Televisa appreciates his career, agreed on the tribute, but terrifies him.”

“His health is very good, his problem basically is walking. The tribute will be an incentive, a hug for his spirit, that will mark in the heart. We do not know if he wants to give a speech on that day, he probably have many things to say.”

For several years, María Antonieta de las Nieves y Carlos Villagrán has been distant with Roberto Gómez Bolaños, they are given the rights to the characters La Chilindrina and Quico. Rubén Galindo clarified that the tribute does not exclude anybody, although they haven’t made a formal invitation.

“We have places of honor reserved for the moment any of them decide to take the telephone and marks us. It is not the policy of the production nor of Televisa to contact them, rather look forward to his response of friendship in return to the great thing that they received from Chespirito.”

When asked by Notimex the question that if Maria Antonieta de las Nieves and Carlos Villagran decided to attend the tribute, it would please Gómez Bolaños if they see them there, despite disputes that they’ve faced, his son Roberto said:

“This event goes beyond that. When I presented the project and convinced him, because not only this is an appreciation of Mexico, but across America, because hundreds of millions of people can identify by the simplicity of what he did on television and that’s what matters.”

“History will be happier that they are all there together. Do not put on the table any possible difference, we must put aside everything and make it a celebration,” he stressed.”

Édgar Vivar, Rubén Aguirre and Florinda Meza, actors still living, they will be present in the ceremony, mainly to describe the performance of various imitators make of characters in the television series El Chavo del 8 for cash prizes.

Although it is said that former Argentine soccer player Diego Armando Maradona will attend the ceremony, which would be one of the big surprises, producers did not confirm this version.

“Carmen Salinas and Adriana Barraza will not take part on the sketches because these were suspended because my father questioned the format,” said Gómez Fernández.

Santiago Galindo, another producer of the tribute, recalled that seven months ago Televisa company executives gave them the responsibility of producing this event and since then have continued to achieved a very special night.

“From the beginning we’d set out to do the greatest honor, the most commemorative and well remembered. So thinking of reuniting all of Latin America around Chespirito and not the famous parade on the catwalk, but the public will return the love to him,” said Rubén.

He said that 17 countries will participate in the tribute, but only eight were involved in the mega choreography.

It took place last Sunday at the Plaza de la República, in front of the Monumento a la Revolución, and drew some 22,000 people dancing to the rhythm of quebradita La vecindad del Chavo.

Rubén explained that they did not brought representatives of the Guinness Record to certify what they’ve made, because they did not imagined that they could summon so many people and far exceeded the figure that they’ve established of 13,957 people dancing Thriller, which paid tribute to the late Michael Jackson in August 2009.

“We had no way of measuring the level of response we would have and we are afraid that if we called and was not exceeded, the challenge had not been met, which could affect the image of this beautiful project. However, now we think we believed in the power of Chespirito”, he said.

After the well-known Mexican actress and singer, Thalía, confirmed last Sunday (February 13) through the social network Twitter her participation to the homage to the Mexican comedian Roberto Gómez Bolaños, the producer Rubén Galindo reiterated the news.

In Todo para la Mujer, in the fifth program of Parodiando, the producer responded to the versions in the sense that the in charge as host of the event would be the singer of El Próximo Viernes, he said:

“Surprises are surprises, on February 15 we are planning an intimate dinner with all the leading media, especially the entertainment media, to talk the details of the tribute to Chespirito and on that night we will reveal about 25 names of stars that will grace the homage.”

In an interview with Javier Poza, in La Fórmula Perfecta, the producer explained that they had prepared a reproduction of the best chapters of the El Chavo y El Chapulín, represented by other actors, “but we think that within the frame of everything what is being made already was too much, then what was left will be postponed (…) these representations will no longer to carry out”.

He said that he is going to make the big event on February 29 at the Auditorio Nacional, which is then transmitted on television on March 11 and in this sense, Gómez Fernández confirmed that Thalía will have a special participation, though not exactly to conduct the show.
