She is currently the host of her own syndicated radio show, Conexión Thalía which has the highest ratings in the U.S., the program has its focus on music, fashion, news and politics. In addition Thalía has received, eight times, the distinction of being named one of the most beautiful, according to magazine People en Español.
Tommy Mottola, former CEO of Sony Music Entertainment, is credited with having transformed the company, making it one of the most successful in the history of music worldwide and is also recognized for having signed and developed the careers of several artists with more international recognition, such as Celine Dion, Destiny’s Child, Mariah Carey, Ricky Martin, Shakira, Gloria Estefan, The Dixie Chicks, Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony, among others.

Thalía is nominated in two categories at 2011 Billboard Latin Music Awards: Hot Latin Songs Artist of the Year, Female and Top Latin Albums Artist of the Year, Female.
The Billboard Latin Music Awards, presented by State Farm, will air live from the BankUnited Center at the University of Miami on the Telemundo network. They honor the most popular albums, songs and performers in Latin music, as determined by the actual sales, radio airplay and social media activity that informs Billboard’s weekly charts during a one-year period from the issue dated February 6, 2010 through this year’s January 29, 2011 issue.
Finalists, and the eventual winners, reflect performance of new recordings on Billboard’s sales charts, including Top Latin Albums, and radio charts, including Hot Latin Songs and the Social 50 chart, with album categories confined to titles that did not appear on the charts prior to November 2009 and excluding finalists from the prior-year’s Billboard Latin Music Awards. The awards will air live April 28 on the Telemundo Network and in over 35 countries around the world. They are the culmination of the Billboard Latin Music Conference, taking place April 26-28 at the Eden Roc Resort in Miami Beach.

Latin Grammy Award winning recording artist, actress, and media personality, Thalía recently attended the March of Dimes Glitz in Palm Beach last December 18, 2010. Together with her husband, Tommy Mottola, she joined chairs Sandra and Patrick J. Rooney Sr. and hundreds of event goers at Donald Trump’s luxurious Mar-a-Lago Club for the event’s 20thh anniversary.
Thalía has been a strong voice for March of Dimes Prematurity Campaign, and after welcoming her healthy baby girl in 2007, she has become even more engaged to help more moms will have healthy, full-term babies.

Two generations of March of Dimes supporters gathered to mark the 20th anniversary of its Glitz fundraiser.
The event took place December 18, 2010 at The Mar-a-Lago Club in Palm Beach, Florida.
The festivities began with a parade of models in costumes representing the theme of past galas, old media snippets and a cocktail hour.
The evening continued with dinner, the presentation of the March of Dimes Champions Award to Vanessa and Tony Beyer, Susie Christiansen, Lori Stoll and the late Joseph D. Farish Jr., and dancing to the music of Private Stock.
The room was filled with 20 years of supporters, including Mickey Silverman, who with the late Tamara Newell founded the event as Glitz at the Ritz in 1991, and junior chairwoman Alexandra Newell, Tamara’s daughter; as well as Thalía and Tommy Mottola, Elizabeth Belkin, Gus Renny, Lori Stoll, Tom Bishop and Hilary Musser, Robyn Boner, Rick Carroll, Mark and Lisa Emelfarb, Nelson and Ali Gerard, Patty Herbst, Rich Horowitz and Diana Downs, David Lambert, Dennis Max, Victor and Monica Spilotro, Barry and Oblio Wish, and Starr Wren.
Sandra and Patrick Rooney were chairwoman and chairman of the dinner dance. Junior chairwomen were Alexandra Newell and Blair Brandt, with Nathaniel Wish serving as junior chairman.
The event raised more than $300,000 to assist the March of Dimes in its mission to improve the health of all babies by preventing birth defects, premature birth, and infant mortality.
