Dressed in a beautiful and elegant blue gown designed by young and “fierce” designer Christian Siriano, and wearing Ralph Lauren shoes and Kwiat jewelry, Thalía, accompanied by her husband Tommy Mottola, attended the fabulous Metropolitan Museum of Art Costume Institute Gala in New York City. This gala celebrates couture fashion and style, and brings together the shining stars of the entertainment, fashion/modeling, music and business worlds under one majestic roof.

Thalía had a great time at the gala, and was able to chat with many olde friends that she had not seen in a while. She commented that Tyra Banks, Iman and Victoria Beckham looked stunning, Bruce Willis looked quite handsome, Billy Joel was very entertaining as always, Donal Trump was charming and actor Jeremy Irons impressed her a lot. She also had the opportunity to greet Donatella Versace, John Galliano, Marc Jacobs, Kate Moss, Tommy Hilfiger, Bono and Kanye West, amongst others.

In regards to the gown that the Mexican superstar decided to wear, it was designed by up-and-coming, 23 year-old designer Christian Siriano. Many remember Siriano from Season 4 of the well-known Bravo network reality TV series/fashion design competition Project Runway. In March 2008, Siriano became the youngest winner of Project Runway, which is hosted by model Heidi Klum. He is one very innovative designer, and has dressed superstars such as Heidi Klum, Victoria Beckham, Anne Hathaway, Tori Spelling, Lady Gaga and Vanessa Williams.
