CHUPO, CHUPO: THE BINKY THAT WENT HOME
by Thalía
illustrated by Ana Martin Larranaga
based on characters created and designed by Thalía

How do you give up the pacifier? Send it to Binkyland!

Internationally known singer, songwriter, business woman, and actress Thalía shares this fun and fanciful story about something every parent can relate to—persuading their child to give up the pacifier. She created Binkyland as the magical place where binkies live and would one day return home, as a bedtime story for her own children.

Vibrant, colorful, and campy, this is the perfect story for kids who need the extra push to give up their own binkies. Chupo, Chupo: The Binky That Went Home will be available in English as well as Spanish.

Thalía is a superstar singer, songwriter, business woman, and actress. She is one of the bestselling Latina musicians of all time and her telenovelas have been seen by over 2 billion people worldwide. She has a son and daughter with her husband, Tommy Mottola. Dear Booksellers,

I am so thrilled to be sharing my first book for children with you. Weaning your child off the pacifier is certainly a feat every parent can relate to, and I wanted to see if I could find a way to make it fun.

My inspiration for Chupo, Chupo: The Binky That Went Home came from my daughter, Sabrina. After enduring the tantrums and the crying night after night, I created Binkyland to appeal to her sense of fun, adventure, and compassion – and it worked almost immediately! It felt wonderful to bond with her at bedtime over the story and world I created. I love how Binkyland comes to life with these bold and cheery illustrations. I'm excited to share this story with my readers, and I wish the same tenderness and bonding for you and your precious little ones.

All the best,
Thalía

    El Mexicano

For me it's more like a parody of children' book than a tale book. And the drawings are awful, whoever Ana María Larrañaga is. When I was a child, tales still had some quality, great and instructive story, and were unforgottable. And now?? Poor children…

I also don't understand why "binky" in Spanish when it has perfect Spanish translations: she would have used "chupete", "tete", "pipo" and so on.

hahaha exactly my thought when I saw they changed the name. good thing there's the Internet, otherwise they would have kept the other title :D
