People took 4 years to convince Thalía

In the photo shoot for People en Español, the singer was sad because of the approaching Mother's Day and will be the first time without her mother, after she died last year.

For four years, executives of People en Español magazine tried to convince Thalía to go on the cover of the magazine which lists Los 50 más bellos and predominantly Mexican.

However, the singer gave way, after the photo shoot involved Ricky Martin.

Thalía's argument for not coming out is that she didn't want to do spread covers, but decided to do it because of Ricky Martin, a worldwide star.

Thalía who tops the list of most beautiful Hispanic Americans, according to People en Español magazine followed by other Latin celebrities like Ricky Martin, Jennifer López, Sofía Vergara, Génesis Rodríguez, Alicia Machado, William Levy, Ana Brenda and Angélica Vale.

It's the ninth time that Thalía is included on the list, but it is the first time that she leads the cover [with other celebrities] (she graced the 2003 cover of the last year when the list was still called as Las 25 Bellezas Latinas).

She revealed that in the photo shoot that she was sad because Mother's Day is approaching and it will be the first time without her mother, after she died last year.

The journalist said that according to a source, the singer still stays on thanks to her two children Matthew and Sabrina.
