Thalía to host the homage to Chespirito

Thalía will host the homage to Roberto "Chespirito" Gómez Bolaños that will air in 15 television stations all over the continent by Televisa next month.

The singer and actress announced in her Twitter account, and celebrated her participation on the tribute.

"What a thrill on that tribute. Really, people who most deserve a tribute, it's definitely Chespirito. Being part of it has made me excited. I'm counting the days to prepare the suitcases, getting on the plane and be there with him," said the former Timbiriche on her social network profile.

Mrs. Mottola will record the program on February 29 at the Auditorio Nacional and will broadcast on television on March 11, the day in which they will finalize the recognitions to the actor.

América celebra a Chespirito is the concept name, produced by cousins Rubén and Santiago Galindo (Pequeños gigantes and Parodiando), which will serve to recognize the career of the creator of El Chavo del 8 and El Chapulín Colorado.
