After the unfortunate abduction of Laura Zapata and Ernestina Sodi in 2002, there was a significant gap between Thalia and her sisters. “I could not forgive myself for the fact that being in the public eye, had caused someone to steal my sisters’ freedom … What happened to us as a family has sadly happened to thousands of people in Mexico and all over the world. The wounds left by the experience of a kidnapping are deep,” the star says in her book Cada día más fuerte (Growing Stronger).

Forgiveness and the strong ties between these sisters have triumphed after the sad death of their beloved mother, Yolanda Miranda Mange, have a great approach and have been seen together on several occasions. “The death of my mother was the greatest of all lessons the Lord has commanded me,” Thalia described in the pages of her book mentioned above.
